Installation
- Get the latest firebug
- Make sure you’re using the latest Flash Player Debug version.
- Install the plugin
- *optional* Create a file named “mm.cfg” into the user folder ( the extension should create it ), with this content:
ErrorReportingEnable=1 TraceOutputFileEnable=1
For a complete list of supported option in the mm.cfg file see this post.
- osx:/Users/{username}/mm.cfg
- window:C:\Users\{username}\mm.cfg
- At this point the flashlog.txt file should be automatically created the first time you visit a website with a flash inside, but it’s better to create it anyway to be sure.
- Create the flashlog.txt file (just an empty file).
- OSX:/Users/{username}/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/Logs/flashlog.txt
- Windows: C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\Logs\flashlog.txt
- Restart FireFox
- Click the black arrow just near the “Flash Tracer” panel title to see and change options (and set the flashlog.txt path).
