    You know, I might be a geezer, but: why bother with PEAR if all you’re doing with it is loading bytes into an array?

    I’d like to use this, but I’m faced with climbing the standard unknowably-large morass of docwiki– for the sake of 500 lines of code? It’s like MSP all over again: just open the dang file.

    Why make me install all that? Why not just use the native PHP functions?
